ANS:D - Purnima Devi Barman

Purnima Devi Barman, a wildlife biologist from Assam, was awarded the 'Green Oscar' Whitley Gold Award 2024 for her conservation efforts of the endangered Greater Adjutant Stork (Hargila). Her work has significantly contributed to increasing the population of Hargila from an estimated 450 birds to 1800 in Northeast India.
