ANS:A - 15

The Indian Coast Guard and Navy are poised to acquire a total of 15 C-295 transport aircraft for maritime surveillance, with the Navy considering nine planes, and the Indian Coast Guard planning to procure six. This strategic move aims to enhance self-reliance in the defence sector and bolster the country's maritime operations. The C-295 transport aircraft are being manufactured in India through a collaborative effort between Tata Advanced Systems and Airbus.
