ANS:D - 18,000 kgf

Here vertical due to water on the cylinder is cancel out. So that resultant vertical force equal to the weight of the cylinder.

Then horizontal force equal to the volume of pressure diagram i.e.

= (1/2)*3*1000*3*4.

= 18000kgf.
