Operational Amplifiers

Q1: A noninverting closed-loop op-amp circuit generally has a gain factor:

A less than one

B greater than one

C of zero

D equal to one

ANS:B - greater than one

For Positive Feedback circuit, Gain is = A/(1-A. B).

Hence denominator will be less than 1 always and so gain will be more than 1 always whereas for negative feedback circuit, gain is = A/(1+A.B).

Hence denominator will be more than 1 always and so gain will be less than 1 always.
