Ohm''s Law - Engineering

Q1:

If 24 V are applied across a resistor and there are 10.9 mA of current, the resistance is

A 220 k

B 22 k

C 2.2 k

D 220

ANS:C - 2.2 k

Given = voltage = 24v
Current = 10.9 mA
Resistance = ?

Let's find it,

V = IR.
R = V/I.
R = 24/10.9*10^-3,
R = 24*1000/10.9,
R = 240000/109,
R = 2201.83 (ohm),

=> 2201.83/1000 = 2.20 k ( ohm).
