Q1: The distance between main gears is 10 m, and the distance of nose gear from centre of main gears is 30 m. If the angle of turning is 60°, the distance of centre of rotation from the nearer main gear, is

A 12.30 m

B 11.30 m

C 10.30 m

D 9.30 m

ANS:B - 11.30 m

Tuning radius = t * tan(90-turning angle)+b/2.
t=30 m,
b=10 m,

Turning radius = 60,
After solving turning radius = 22.32 m,
Distance of centre of rotation from nearer main gear = 22.32 - 10 = 12.32 m.
