Q1: The primary coil of a transformer is connected to a 60 V ac source. The secondary coil is connected to a 330  load. The turns ratio is 3:1. What is the secondary voltage?

A 2 V

B 20 V

C 180 V

D 18 V

ANS:B - 20 V

V1= 60v,
T=3:1 then we have n1=3 and n2=1.
N2/N1=V2/V1 1/3=V2/60.
So we get V2= 20v.
OR N1/N2=V1/V2 also we get 20v.
