Series-Parallel Circuits

Q1: Two 3.3 k resistors are in series and this series combination is in parallel with a 4.7 k resistor. The voltage across one of the 3.3 k resistors is 12 V. The voltage across the 4.7 k resistor is

A 24 V

B 12 V

C 0 V

D 6 V

ANS:A - 24 V

In series I is same but in parallel VTG is same.

VTG drops across 3.3k 12 and vtg drop at 3.3k is 12, 12+12 = 24, then vtg in parallel is same means vtg at 4.7k is 24v
