India's first 3D-printed post office is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It was inaugurated on August 18, 2023, by the Union Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw. The post office is built using a technology called Contour Crafting, which uses a robotic arm to deposit layers of concrete to create a three-dimensional structure. The post office is 1,021 square feet in area and has a built-in solar power system.
